The fourth of January marks the start of the sixth year of the Backpack Project in Peru. Over 200 students will begin the Project in both Cusco and Lima, over the next 10 weeks over 1,000 more students will participate in the Backpack Project. During the week, students will have an opportunity to learn through playing and also to prepare for the coming school year.

One of the most exciting aspects regarding this years project is the inclusion of a book in every backpack in response to the recommendations of both volunteers in students in years past.
