Peruvian Brothers partners with Umbrella Initiatives to improve educational opportunities for Children in Peru.

Peruvian Brothers, one of the best food trucks in the Metro DC area, has officially agreed to sponsor the backpack project planned for Collao, Peru in February of 2015.   Through their sponsorship over 100 girls and boys will be able to participate in the weeklong academic reinforcement program and receive a backpack with all the school supplies they will need for the starting academic year.   Through the partnership with Umbrella Initiatives the innovative Entrepreneurs are also working to support Peruvian children.

Peruvian Brothers specializes in sandwiches and empanadas featuring chicharron (pork tenderloin), asado (beef), chicken and butifarra (pork loin) as well as vegetarian options all served with traditional Salsa Criolla, thinly sliced julienne onions marinated in lime juice with chopped Peruvian chilies. On the sweet side, Peruvian Brothers offers tasty rice pudding and traditional alfajores, which are soft, delicate cookies with dulce de leche filling. Mario’s famous homemade Lucuma and Maracuya ice cream highlights the authentic flavors of the subtropical fruit native to the Andean valleys of Peru.  Through their food trucks located around the greater DC metro area, Peruvian Brothers are providing authentic Peruvian cuisine with a distinctly American twist that it is not only tasty but also with proceeds going to help children in need in Peru via their support of the Backpack Project.
